Austrian/ Swag Valance
This style is made using a combination of methods to create swags from one long continuous valance. This is not our work, but the design and photo are of very good quality. We like the fabric and trim together, the key tassel with button, and the overall proportions.
In this example, the folds aren't quite even, and the pattern the fabric is pulling to the right. This should be corrected, but this is a good way to explain to you the benefit of this style: the pattern of the fabric can be positioned vertically rather than being cut on the bias where the motif ends up diagonal. The negative is that many fabrics won't fold fluidly as this fabric does when cut straight like this. We will assist in planning the right fabric with any style of drapery you like.
