Instant beauty and easy elegance are the key features of this simple yet graceful drapery treatment made of fine materials. Consider this design for windows, beds, and flanking doorways.
The Belvedere Chateau drapery treatment 1 features cut velvet damask of frosted white on a ground of buff color using a high and low effect. The high part shimmers and reveals various hues and tones throughout the fabric. Highlights change when the direction of light shifts. Elegant details add up to a fabulous overall look.
The drapery is fully backed with faux silk in a soft pebble color. This fabric is revealed when the drapery is reversed back and held by the tieback. The shaped bottom edge is finished with 1/2" decorative cording so that the work is continuous and fluid looking as sketched.
The drapery panels are of deluxe fullness (approximately 71" before pleating) so that approximately 40% of the panel remains at the floor while a rich section is pulled back. Each drapery panel contains 7-8 goblet style pleats. The finished width of each side can be varied according to your preference at no additional cost. Standard width of each panel is 28" including the 3.5" return.
1.5" Decorative braid is optional. It is sewn approximately 3.5" away from the leading edge and bottom edge through the face fabric before the panels are assembled so that no seam is visible when the drapery is reversed back. Decorative braid is of fine designer quality.
Lengths are calculated as options above. At 99" the labor increases along with the materials cost, so you will see a price jump at that length. This treatment is ideally suited to ceiling heights of 8-10 ft.
Drapery hardware is recommended by our designer in two finishes: titanium and silver/ carmel. Choose from two finial shapes. Poles are solid wood 2.25".
