Want a color plan that can't go wrong yet isn't boring? Choose one beautiful color and find the best shade of neutral that compliments it and strictly use shades of those two colors in all major elements of your room. Use accents, especially functioning textiles (napkins and every day pillows), seasonal elements, and temporary (live plants) decor to change the look or experiment to see what you like. By using this method, you reduce financial risk and still have the freedom to explore. All the while, you will gain confidence in exactly what you like so that each design project reflects your taste more beautifully.
