TPAC dressing room draperies
The Tennessee Suite dressing room of the Tennessee Performing Arts center is richly colored environment for the stars to lounge or prepare. I was involved in consultation about the colors and details as well as the drapery. The Ivory curtain here is lined in black so that it does not compete with makeup application on the other side. Special sewing techniques were used to make the curtain sturdy for the high usage. A bronze commercial track provides superb function with ball bearing carriers that make the curtain glide effortlessly time after time. The formal black and ivory swag treatment is stationary flanking the doorway and providing sound barrier. The damask pattern is woven of chenille yarns which are very easy to keep clean. Tiebacks are fastened permanently in place to keep the drapery still during hustle and bustle.
